The Courage to Face the Past – The Courage to Face the Future
The Getzner Central Archive was founded in Bludenz in 1983 on the initiative of Manfred A. Getzner, with significant support from the then Managing Director, Dr. Arthur Lins. It preserves the company’s history while also safeguarding documents of legal and business importance for the present and the future.

Its roots go back well before its official founding. As early as the 1920s, company partner Dipl.-Ing. Sepp Getzner recognised the importance of systematic documentation and compiled extensive file registers as well as a first photo collection. This careful collecting work remains an essential foundation of the Central Archive to this day.
The archive’s holdings include historical files, contracts and legal documents, as well as photographs, films, plans, artworks, objects and an extensive reference library on industrial history. The Central Archive therefore documents not only the development of the entire group of companies, but also the economic, technical and social history of the region.
Today, the Central Archive is responsible for preserving and cataloguing historical holdings and making them accessible for research and corporate history. At the same time, it accompanies the company through change and ensures that valuable records of past and present developments are preserved for the long term.
